With new Covid regulations limiting the numbers of wedding attendees, we thought we would list some of our favourite reasons why an intimate, smaller wedding is still a great choice for your wedding day!
Our Memorial Library has hosted many beautiful, bespoke wedding ceremonies starting from guest numbers of just four! We love how even the smallest guest list can fill the room and create a warm atmosphere that is mirrored in the beautiful photography.
It goes without saying that less people means less mouths to feed, less invites to send AND less glasses of bubbles! Some newlyweds have reaped the benefits of a smaller wedding and splashed their extra cash on a luxury mini-moon. We have listed our favourite mini-moon locations that are perfect for a quick getaway for newlyweds.
Lowering the number will make the moment more intimate and the atmosphere of ceremony that bit more special for everyone. When you only have a small number to accommodate, you will likely find you're only selecting your nearest and dearest, those you truly want to spend and share your wedding day with.
- Relaxed & Flexible!
Due to the global pandemic, couples are aware that plans can change at the very last-minute, but we’re already pretty used to having to be adaptable and flexible when planning a wedding in the UK, thanks to the unpredictable Great British weather! Start preparing now and take a look at our rainy wedding ideas.
With a smaller guest list, transportation is a smaller hurdle especially if you have opted for your ceremony and reception to take place all in one place. Logistics and wedding prep will be so much easier to plan too, making the process a whole lot less stressful - result!
We love the little details here at Malvern College Weddings and the attention to detail will be guaranteed recognition and appraisal. Rachel and Rob’s beautiful cycling theme wedding had very personal touches created by the amazing Poppy Kate Press. Less people means you will have a lot more space for decorative pieces to fill the room too! Thinking about doing it yourself? We have some fabulous DIY wedding ideas that will definitely give you a little inspiration.
- Splash the cash!
You’ll probably find that you’re not spending as much as originally budgeted, so why not splash a little extra on the things that really matter? For brides, this may mean a more extravagant dress, jewellery or even hiring a makeup artist and hairstylist for your big day. As a couple, you could upgrade your photography package, transport vehicle or accessorise your venue with more fresh floral arrangements.
We hope these reasons to host a smaller wedding have uplifted many of you who have had to alter your wedding day plans. Our thoughts go out to all engaged couples who have been affected by Covid-19 and can’t wait to welcome large wedding parties back to Malvern College Weddings soon.
